Annette Pehenke
A resident of Long Island, NY, Annette is an active member and past president of the Art League of Nassau County. Her realistic, representational paintings appear regularly in the League’s shows, winning prizes and favorable acclaim. Her paintings hang in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
Originally self-taught, Annette has studied oil, watercolor, and pastels under various prominent artists. Annette has traveled extensively with her 35 mm camera throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Baja California, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and the islands of the Indian Ocean and Aegean Sea. With a copious file of photos to reference, Annette composes her paintings in the studio. She states:
“In general, I will not paint a landscape or any subject, person or animal that I have not seen with my own eyes.”
Annette is a long-time summer resident of Bolton Landing on Lake George and often paints her favorite subject—the lake and the magnificent Adirondacks.
