Angela Stratton sought her education in the old masters tradition at the Reilly League of Artists where she studied drawing and painting under Cesare Borgia. The masters have a strong impact on her work but she adheres to expressing her own personal presentation of painting. She still continues independent studies, as she believes an art education is a lifetime adventure.
Since 1978 Angela has built an impressive body of work, and exhibits in the tri-state area. Her works hang in private collections in the United States, Puerto Rico, England, and Hong Kong. She was formerly represented for portraits by the Grand Central Art Galleries in NYC, and is currently affiliated with the Salmagundi Club, Portrait Society of America, The Huntington Arts Council, Suburban Art League, Art League of Nassau County, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the Art League of Long Island.
As a prize winning artist, her achievements are not limited to painting alone, she continues to find many rewards teaching drawing and painting to children and adults.
