• exhibit their watercolors, oil paintings, pastels and sculpture in public forums
• hosted monthly demonstrations by our area's top fine artists
• organized workshops in watercolor painting and landscape painting
• provided the opportunity for artists join together in a community of fellow painters

Meetings are held the last friday of the month at the Senior Center, Clinton G. Martin Park, New Hyde Park. Demonstrations are held from 7:30- 9:30, and are scheduled for September through November, January through June each year.
ALNC hosts workshops in fine art, enlisting professional fine art teachers to instruct students in a small group setting. Recent workshops have focused on floral watercolor painting and landscape painting at Nassau County's Clark Gardens.
ALNC hosts a website, with each member provided a portfolio page where their artwork, resume and biography are made available for view to the world wide community of art appreciation.
League activities provide a close knit community of artists, many of whom work together on League activities like hanging exhibitions, publicity, and hospitality. Our monthly meetings, with refreshments served, provide an opportunity to share an appreciation for painting with our fellow artists.
